Nature Poem-Pinecones

they fall from the sky
hitting pedestrians as they stroll by
their horny body keeps us at bay
though we tend to play with em day to day
they pile up in the winter
they're dust in the summer
the trees make em
the squirrels eat em
what else can be said
except they make a great prank when put in someone's bed

I loved your comment about the thorns, and how while they are pointey we play with them just the same. so true.
